Public Awareness

Amblyopia Prevention $15,000 Internet and media campaign to diagnose children, ages 1-3 years, and treat this common eye condition under the age of 10 when it may be cured, otherwise the child will require eye glasses for possibly the rest of his/her life.

Diagnosis
Program: Undiagnosed cases forum. Establish on the Internet in interactive room where doctors and patients can present their medical records of undiagnosed cases where other health practitioners can comment and suggest solutions.

Program: Improving Diagnosis

Diagnosing it right, the first time. Assistance to Patients and Medical Personnel
Develop Computer Assisted diagnostic programs in collaboration with Massachusetts General Hospital/Harvard Medical with input from medical personnel in UK, China, India, Japan, and selected countries in Africa (Ghana) and Latin America

Training in accessing health information and Telemedicine.

Program: Major Children Diseases Systematic literature review and interviews of professionals for 5 major childhood diseases. Results will be published on the Internet and include methods of diagnosis, comprehensive treatments options and effective prevention strategies. Budget $5,000/disease.

Program: Major Diseases Affecting Africa and Latin America  Systematic literature review and interviews of professionals for major childhood diseases. Results will be published on the Internet and include methods of diagnosis, comprehensive treatments options and effective prevention strategies. Results published in Spanish and English. Budget $5,000/disease.

Program: Diseases effecting selected populations: religious, ethnic groups, age groups, and/or region:  Disease chosen by sponsors and donors. Reports published freely on the Internet will include new methods of diagnosis, comprehensive treatments options and effective prevention strategies. Budget: $5,000/disease.

Program: Adopt a Disease. Select a disease of interest to you or a loved one. Systematic literature research and interviews of professionals for this disease. Results will be published freely on the Internet will include methods of diagnosis, comprehensive treatments options and effective prevention strategies. Budget $5,000

Improving Treatment

Program: Alcohol and Drug Abuse Treatment A review of studies of treatment programs. A detailed treatment program including materials so that individuals and organizations will know exactly what they will be doing, and learning in a drug treatment program. A compilation list of treatment centers and details of the their treatments, costs and success rates when available. Budget $50,000.

Program: Treatment for selected diseases. Research of latest treatment for selected diseases. Budget $5,000 per disease

Program: Adopt a Doctor: Latin America, Africa and South East Asia. Provide
Travel and living expenses for volunteer doctors and surgeons to teach for 1-2 weeks in medical institutions of developing countries. $3,000-$5, 000 per health professional

Program: Emergency Medical Care: Compile and organize complete emergency medical care web pages. Budget $20,000.

Other Children Programs

Program: Adopt a Child's Health Care: Provide health insurance coverage for a child and family in developing countries of Latin America, Asia and Africa. Budget $1,000-3,000 per child

Program: Establish development norms and milestones  for infants and children

Program: Orphan education and health care in Africa and Latin America. Contribute to housing and caring of orphans, primarily under age of 5. Establish clinics or access to health clinics. Budget $30,000+.

Program: Uniting World Medical Experts  Funds are needed to establish relations and information exchange with medical experts in different countries, especially in China, Japan, Russia and Germany where language and time zones create challenges in communication
